Paying tribute to the Roman god of wine, this pendant is a perfect hybrid of ancient history and contemporary aesthetics. While Bacchus’s nose ring characterizes him a modern day rebel, Azagury Partridge culls from a long artistic fascination with the mythological great as captured by Michelangelo and Caravaggio, Twombly and Auerbach. His rhodium-plated white gold face is set with marquise-cut diamonds while emerald and ruby beads form the vines and grapes about his head.

About Solange Azagury-Partridge

View Profile »

Solange Azagury-Partridge is a British jewelry designer based in London. Self taught, the first piece of jewelry she designed was her own engagement ring in 1987.  Encouraged by friends, Solange began producing one-off pieces and, very quickly, a collection and business was born. By 1995, Solange had opened her unique red velvet-lined boutique on London's Westbourne Grove. Often mistaken for a brothel, the boutique was an overnight sensation and her idiosyncratic designs were received to critical and commercial success. Handpicked by Tom Ford, Solange became the creative director of Boucheron in 2001, where she spent three years revitalizing the celebrated Parisian jewelry house.
