Sergej Jensen uses diverse textiles, of varying tactility, to create “a painting without paint.” Here, the artist alters the textiles’ material properties by bleaching, cutting, and sewing the swathes in order to investigate the limitations of each. The poetic work can be read as a visual documentation of the transformations and reactions of the various fabrics.
