About Sally Gall

View Profile »

Sally Gall’s (American, b.1956) romantic photographs are shaped by her extensive travel throughout countries as diverse as Brazil, Scotland, and Bequi. The artist’s works center upon an ethereal interpretation of nature and the abstract forms found within it. Whilst Gall’s early career was defined by her use of a Hasselblad, which produced black and white square format photographs, she made the transition to color film in 2002. Gall graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a B.F.A in 1978. Her works have been the subject of several solo exhibitions at institutions such as the Museum of Photography in Belgium, and the Huntington Museum of Art in West Virginia.
