Matt MacFarland is a contemporary artist and cartoonist who creates work about comedy, tragedy, and how they’re intertwined. His ongoing narrative, Dark Pants, follows a mysterious pair of pants through Los Angeles as they impact the lives of whoever wears them. MacFarland earned a BFA from University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design.
