Using his camera as a means to observe people in public places, Vitali captures his subjects' unguarded interactions and their environment from a distance, yet with extraordinary detail. This diptych portrays a voyeuristic view of the Sagamore Hotel pool in Miami Beach, Florida. As the viewer studies the scene, a troupe of narratives begins to unfold within each cluster of individuals. The viewer therefore becomes an active participant within the work as he or she discovers that the private vignettes are impossible to absorb in one glance.
