Description

Over the last half-century, Lynda Benglis has established herself as a stalwart of the evolving contemporary art landscape. Using a variety of materials and techniques, her work features happenstance formations that reference ideas of both nature and sexuality. Benglis pushes back against a masculinist art world by feminizing forms and color in her work, as apparent in “Bird’s Nest #10”. On a more intimate scale, this piece mimics the chaotic approach and textural concerns of her iconic latex pours.

The work can install vertically on the wall or lay flat on a display surface.
