The present diptych features a pair of bathroom cabinets, each side reflecting commonly gendered objects made of fabric. There are also gender-neutral toiletries which can be seen in either cabinet, such as Advil and Vaseline. While the objects serve no functional purpose, they speak to gendered consumerism and how gender is viewed from a market perspective. Both cabinets can be disassembled. The fabric components in each cabinet are loose, individual items which can be removed. The work is accompanied by a sheet of paper which shows the included objects as well as their placement in each cabinet.
