Kellner’s exquisitely crafted, ethereal, three-dimensional paintings and room-sized installations are created primarily from silk and thread, which she uses to suggest drawings and forms in space. For Kellner, silk performs similar to a layer of epidermis, translucent and seemly fragile, yet deceptively strong and resilient.
