Description

This limited edition photograph was captured by Lawrence Schiller in 1971 while filming the Dennis Hopper documentary "The American Dreamer" at Hopper's home in New Mexico. The film profiles the life and mind of one of the 20th century’s great cinematic voices at the peak of his artistic and commercial success in the wake of Easy Rider. For the first time in 45 years, this year audiences will have the chance to see "The American Dreamer" on curated online cinema MUBI beginning on February 12 for 30 days, alongside a limited theatrical release.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this work will benefit the continued restoration of classic films at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
