Interdisciplinary artist Larry Krone (b. 1970, Chicago, IL) has exhibited and performed extensively in the United States and beyond, including solo exhibitions at Pierogi in Brooklyn and Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis as well as performances at Joe’s Pub and PS122 in New York City. He designs unique costumes and stage gowns as House of Larréon and self-published Look Book in 2015. He also designs sets and costumes for dance and theater including work recently with the Hand2Mouth Theatre Company in Portland, OR. His honors include residencies and fellowships with The MacDowell Colony (2018, 2011, 2012), Yaddo (2017), NYFA (2015, 2009), The Millay Colony (2013), Joe’s Pub Working Group (2015), LMCC (2014), and Peter S. Reed (2006). His work is collected privately and is included in the collection of the RISD Museum in Providence, RI where it will appear in their upcoming group exhibition, Repair and Design Futures (October 5, 2018 – June 30, 2019) along with a site specific performance created by Krone specifically for the occasion. He was raised in St Louis and now resides in New York City.
