About Larry BellView Profile »
Larry Bell (American, b. 1939) is an artist known for his contribution to sculpture. He explores the relationship between the art object and its environment through the sculptural and reflective properties of his work. For this reason, he is often associated with the California Light and Space art movement, made popular by James Turrell, Robert Irwin–his former professor at Chouinard Art Institute–and others. His choice of materials, chosen for their visual clarity and complexity, work with considerable effort to confirm our process of seeing as well as our ability to discern and become conscious of the process of seeing. He currently lives and works in Taos, New Mexico.Interested in consigning works by Larry Bell? Learn more »
