SEOUL. Graffiti artist Junkhouse was born and lives in Seoul, Korea. Her artworks are based on her concept of Organicism. In a nutshell, new life forms are born in the artist’s eye and imagination of inorganic objects. These inorganic objects may be something that the artist doodled, expressing rigid objects such as houses, buildings, images, or keywords within her subconscious, processed into the metaphysical realm and then finally born as a new and live organic image. These images do not just stay on the canvas. The artist would often take the images outside onto public walls, providing a new setting for them to proliferate. Junkhouse will continue to find, observe and show us materials and objects that co-exist although they may not be easily perceivable to the general public, transforming them through her unlimited imagination.
