Jimmie Durham (b. 1940) is an internationally acclaimed artist, activist, and writerrepresented by kurimanzutto, Mexico City. He was active in the United States in the civil rights movements in the 1960s and 1970s, serving on the central council of theAmerican Indian Movement (AIM). His works are included in major public collections around the world, including the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; Museum of Modern Art and Whitney Museum of American Art, New York and many others.
