Installation artist Jim Hodges and photographer Tim Hailand join forces in “Love,” a suite of four color photographs produced in 1997 in collaboration with Art Resources Transfer, a New York-based nonprofit. Here, a simple message—reflected in the work’s title—is conveyed through the image of an unseen person’s hand twisted into letterlike shapes against the light coming through an airplane window, much like shadow puppets.
