Gardar Eide Einarsson regularly incorporates texts from official documents and ephemera into his work. After decontextualizing them from their often criminal, subcultural or highly politicized sources, Einarsson recomposes these texts into cartoonish or coldly cynical formats. Here, the term “Misfit” is shown without context, floating hollowly in its frame.
