Stark-Menneg’s exuberant narrative paintings rendered in day-glo colors in a knowingly naïve style are earning her increasing acclaim. She recently had a well-received solo exhibition in NYC at Allouche Gallery and four monumental canvases were exhibited at CMCA in 2017. Drawing on imagery from contemporary culture, politics, and her personal history and life, Stark-Menneg’s playful approach belies the seriousness of her intent and content, which often references themes of love and loss, migration and conflict.
