About David Webb

View Profile »

A true American jeweler, David Webb established his New York City boutique in 1948. By the 1960s, he was the darling of the fashion press and his pieces were featured in the most popular magazines, particularly Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. His jewelry was coveted and collected by New York high society, Hollywood elite, and even the era’s First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy, who ultimately commissioned Webb to design the Gifts of State. Upon his death, the brand continued under his partner, Nina Silberstein, and her son. In 2010, it was purchased by dealers Mark Emanuel and Robert Sadian, who continue to produce from the New York showroom, borrowing from the original David Webb designs.
