Danielle Nelson Mourning’s (AFF ’07, ’09) photography brings about questions of the self, as an homage to memory and to women in her personal life. Her work has been exhibited at Headlands Center for the Arts, Taylor De Cordoba Gallery in Los Angeles, Hoopers Gallery in London, and the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in Prague. This recent self-portrait photograph was made during two months at The Chalk Hill Artist Residency in the Alexander Valley along the Russian River. She received her BA at Wheaton College, Massachusetts, and her MFA at the Royal College of Art, London. She lives and works in San Francisco.
