Charles Hollis Jones (American, b. 1945) is an artist and furniture designer known as an innovator in his use of plastic and acrylic. Frank Sinatra, Johnny Carson, and Lucille Ball were some of Hollis Jones’ first patrons. Tennessee Williams commissioned the designer to create a comfortable and modern writing chair, and he created the Wisteria Chair. He is also known for designing Edison Lamp, for which he won the California Design 11 Competition.
