Carolyn Janssen’s digital tableaus are obsessive wonderlands, ripe for exploration, confounding in their depth and strangeness. She has exhibited widely, including a 2013 solo exhibition at Julie Saul Gallery in New York and the Unseen Fair in Amsterdam. She has participated in group exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Museum in Raleigh, North Carolina, and the North Carolina Museum of Art, and at the Kala Institute in Berkeley. Janssen studied textile design for her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and photography for her MFA from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2011.
