Brendan Fowler’s “To Be Titled” has been described as a “violet bang” in which he crashes and stacks broken frames on top of each other. The three-dimensional work is largely autobiographical: the faint screenprints suggest shadows of personal effects. Fowler also reveals the backs of the frames as he seeks to “exhaust the content” of his work, and, more largely, open a dialogue on the current state of art.
