Lunarseas: Sea of Fecundity is one of a series of cast bronze partial figures whose titles are taken from the poetic names by astronomer Galileo, for what he perceived to be bodies of water on the moon. Sprouting from her abdomen, are cascading branches, festooned with bursting pomegranates, alluding to a woman's height of fertility.
