Fascinated with iconography and cultural obsession surrounding my particular borough, I came across an original still photograph from October 7, 1914, of painters suspended from the weavings of the Brooklyn Bridge. Transposed onto my egg, the Manhattan skyline shows in the background as well as much of the architectural design of the bridge, making this an historically significant piece for the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt.
