On Wednesday 23rd June, 1999, Alexandre Gurita got married at the chapel of Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENSB-A). The wedding was submitted as an art work and project for the final exam. He was granted a diploma in spite of disagreement amongst the jury and the polemic it gave rise to within the School. Witnesses: Ghislain Mollet-Viéville, Ricardo Mbarak, Claudio Locatelli. The wedding was a religious ceremony officiated by the parish priest of Saint-Germain des Prés, who came to Ecole des Beaux arts. This is not a happening or a performance, or an action or a staging or a sham. The jury and the school staff were been invited to join the guests and had access to wedding list.
