Description
Alex MacLean is a pilot and photographer, and has flown his plane over much of the US, recording changes brought on by human intervention and natural processes. MacLean’s photographs have been exhibited widely in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia and are found in private, public, and university collections, most recently at Beetles and Huxley Gallery in London. He has won numerous awards, including the 2009 CORINE International Book Award, the American Academy of Rome’s Prix de Rome in Landscape Architecture, and grants from the NEA and Graham Foundation. He recently was a fellow at the HWK Institute in Delmenhorst, Germany.
