The auction, titled "Vanguard" will be live on April 24 - May 11, 2013, launching with an event in Los Angeles on April 24 and culminating with a dinner and live auction on May 11 in New York during FRIEZE.

The Vanguard sale of Contemporary Art will offer a selection of approximately 35 works by a notable list of Contemporary Artists - including Rita Ackermann, Tauba Auerbach, George Condo, Gardar Eide Einarsson, Brendan Fowler, Barnaby Furnas, Wade Guyton and Kelley Walker, Terence Koh, Nate Lowman, Adam McEwan, Ryan McGinley, Sam Moyer, James Nares, Raymond Pettibon, Richard Pettibone, Aurel Schmidt, Dash Snow, Gavin Turk, and Aaron Young, among others - selected by Shamim M. Momin, former Contemporary Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the co-founder, Director, and Curator of LAND, in collaboration with online auction house Paddle8. Sales will benefit LAND, a non-profit art organization based in Los Angeles. This project follows the success of LAND and Paddle8's first online auction collaboration as part of LAND's Third Annual Benefit Gala last September, which featured works by Hernan Bas, Dan Colen, Joe Bradley, and Mark Grotjahn among others.

BVLGARI joins LAND and Paddle8 to partner on the opening and closing events celebrating Vanguard and will also exhibit a selection of the auctioned works at its Fifth Avenue store in New York.
