Shangri La, 2011

Description

Shangri La is a site-specific installation and a shared experience based on the act of making photographs which blends analog and digital technologies. Projected upside-down landscapes from the American West appear on a wall with various large-format cameras assembled in the foreground. each viewer is encouraged to take on the role of the photographer of each scene and view each image right-sided by looking through the ground glass of the cameras. The end result of the installation was the photograph that you see here.
