If you could own any work of art, which one would you choose?

I would like Canova’s naked statue of Napoleons sister, Venus Victorious. Not many people got to fuck Napoleon over, but not so his sister.... It's a sort of hands-on Ozymandias....

What is your earliest memory of art?

Naked girls on stage at Manchester.

Which museum or foundation would you like to be locked in one night?

The Egyptian wing of the British Museum.

How do images have an impact on global politics?

Well obviously they convey news stories. The Vietnam images changed the way America went to war. From then on journalists were the enemy. I am particularly fond of the pictures of Tony Blair kissing Gaddafi. It reveals so much about both assholes.
