Last Friday, September 28th, 2012, marked the first ever charity auction by Dossier – the New York-based art and culture magazine – in conjunction with a celebration of the release of their 10th issue! The auction featured works from both emerging and established artists, with all proceeds going towards the Worth Motorcycle Company, which “offers New York City’s at-risk youth training on the art of vintage motorcycle restoration.” This exciting event was held at artist Dustin Yellin’s newly opened not-for-profit space called The Intercourse in Red Hook, Brooklyn, which is housed in a behemoth Civil War era warehouse.
Dossier’s launch/charity auction filled the amazing warehouse on the river with hundreds of attendees enjoying drinks inside as well as outside in The Intercourse’s beautiful garden. In addition to the works available for bidding in the silent auction, the event also featured carnival games, drinks from St. Germain and even a tattoo artist. Photographer Meredith Dumas captured the night in images which you can see above with more available on our Facebook!
Be sure to stay tuned for more exciting projects and events from our friends at Dossier!
