To coincide with the 30th São Paulo International Biennial during the month of September, Galeria Luciano Brito will present for the first time, solo exhibitions of works by artists Héctor Zamora and Pablo Lobato.
Héctor Zamora - Inconstancia Material [Material Inconstancy], opened September 1st.
This is an art of performance work where the idea is to involve the architectural space of the gallery in a choreography that renders a dynamic narrative, allowing the audience to question human behavior and its developments. Zamora brings twenty bricklayers and several thousand ceramic bricks into the gallery. The artist throws the bricks, which is meant to draw on the inconsistency of organic material and to illustrate local customs.
Pablo Lobato - Do Corte [On the Cut], opened September 1st.
This is Pablo Lobato’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. The “cuts” in many of Pablo Lobato’s works are a way of seeing that defines the boundaries between what is captured and what is excluded by the observer or by the artist himself in his work.
