Pat Steir – ‘under cover of daylight’ (2012) at 1 Rivington Street from Sue Scott Gallery on Vimeo.
Sue Scott Gallery in the Lower East Side recently began a mural project on the outside of their gallery at 1 Rivington Street. The inaugural artist for the project is Pat Steir, who “reprised her role as graffiti muralist” and painted under the cover of daylight on the gallery’s facade on a chilly April afternoon. The above time-lapse video of Steir creating the mural was shot by Stuart Stelzer. Stay tuned for more murals from this innovative LES gallery.
