Michael “Mike” Kelley was an American artist, who is well known for his collaborations with artists like Paul McCartney and Michael Smith. His work often involved found objects, drawings, performance, and video.
As tribute to the talented artist, EAI and Dia will be presenting a day-long video screening of Mike Kelley’s work in Chelsea, in New York City. Sixteen of his videos will be presented in coordination with Kelley Studio Inc. and the Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts, including The Banana Man (1983), Day is Gone (2005-2006), and Vice Anglais (2011). The event is informal, free, and no rsvps are needed!
