Operating out of Voice of America’s Persian News Network and often compared to the Jon Stewart Show, “Parazit” is a weekly program started by Kambiz Hosseini and Saman Arbabi. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a favorite target of theirs.
“His bloopers are fantastic,” said Arbabi. “The same way Bush was – he says a lot of dumb things without thinking about it, and at the same time he’s president of one of the most important countries in the region. And they have nukes.”
Although their exact viewership numbers are unknown (most people watch through forbidden satellite or Youtube), Parazit has a mass following with Iranians describing its particular brand of satire as “Paraziti.”
In the days leading up to the exhibition, we will be posting bulletins.
