DKNY Artworks to Benefit Free Arts NYC
Behind the Scenes The DKNY Mural Returns June 10, 2013
The former DKNY mural on Houston Street became a NYC icon and unofficial entrance to SoHo from 1992 to 2008, capturing the spirit and the skyline of Manhattan in black & white. This summer, DKNY brings the iconic logo back completely reimagined. #DKNYArtworks is an outdoor art installation designed to connect DKNY, New York City and art with ten cities around the world. Each original work captures an artistic expression of the NYC skyline within the frame of a DKNY logo. The participating artists were asked to interpret New York City as they envision it and were selected based on their connection with the city in which their artwork will be featured. The Artists participating in this auction have generously donated their work from the program to benefit Free Arts NYC. Bidding will be available online from June 12th at 12pm EST to June 29th at 10pm EST with an auction event at The Montauk Beach House in Montauk, NY.
